Title: ***Wilmington July 30-31***
Post by: Ratchett on July 14, 2011, 12:22:47 AM
OK Ohio where is everyone hiding?!?!?!?

Slim is the only person signed up for the Wilmington Shoot that has double digit pre-regs.

Now I know Slim can handle this because...well he is SLIM! The thing is, he should not have to when there are 50 other instructors in Ohio. Come on guys, let' s help him out. Sign up to work this shoot now O0 O0

KAH (Kenric), Capt Hook (Matthew) Pink E (Emma) and I are out as some of us are going to the Small Arms Rifle school at the CMP that weekend.  We'll do some 7th Stepping with other participants for sure to get lines full in the future!

No worries, folks. I have some local IITs who I'm going to round up, kick squarely in the backside, hogtie, blindfold and throw in the back of the jeep.

When they take the bag off their head, they'll shout "Huzzah! I'm at Appleseed!"

We have some pretty good BOTG at Wilmington and you guys are looking at upwards of 50 kids at that Boy Scout event. Go teach posterity. We'll get it done at Wilmington.

- NOTICE -

Bring your own shade! If you have an easy up canopy or portable car port or something to that effect, you should bring it to this event. At minimum, you should bring some sun screen!

The range we'll be using is not covered and there's not much in the way of shade so it's important to bring your own if you'd like.

Will the shoot be .22lr only or can other calibers be used as well?

Garand,

Looks as if the 200 yard range has been reserved for Appleseeds. If that be the case, centerfires would be welcome. I will let Slim chime in as he is the Shoot Boss for this shoot and would have recent contact with the range.

A quick trip over to the event information page results in no caliber restrictions for this range.

Bring out the big guns!  :---

Hey, all!

I figured I will check in to the board as I am one of your friendly neighborhood AS liaisons for CCFSA.  I will see if I can bring a canopy to set up either late Friday or early Saturday.

I don't see any issues with bringing out the CF's as Slim has suggested.

Since I was a student on the last go 'round in November, I have volunteered to attend to the mundane RSO duties and KP to boot.  Basically, I will be around and at your service most of Saturday and Sunday.  Maybe if I'm real good, Slim will let me squeeze off an AQT or two in between peeling potatos ;)

This shoot is up to 26 pre-regs, it is too much for one SB and a RSO. Sign up and help a brother out!!

Anyone from the Holmes/Wayne/Ashland county areas going down? I'd make the trip if I could carpool with someone...

Just signed up to instruct.
Hopefully most of the weather will be like it was in New Philly last week.

Sorry ak47SS, I live in Athens, but would love for you to be able to come over to Wilmington for your first Orange Hat experience.  Not a covered line like New Philly, but the people there are great too!
