105 degrees and 114 degree heat index, and 7 kids persisted the whole weekend. Three families plus my two daughters and another shooter scouting the program to bring his children. No riflemen but I do not think this group was about that. They came out on a hot father's day weekend and learned marksmanship skills and our nation's history and heritage. Thank you to those fine Americans for also continuing my education.
Until next time...

Tommy and his crew did a great job teaching us about shooting safety and techniques as well as history.
Our entire family, including my daughter in the previously posted picture and my father-in-law who joined us, came away from the weekend with valuable experience and knowledge. It was definitely hot, but we had good "shade time" during both days that gave us a chance to enjoy each other's company too.
I have already recommended the Appleseed program and Tommy to a group of friends. I am also planning to attend future events, which is one reason why I joined the RWVA at the end of our weekend.
Tommy is top notch. O0
I missed having you with us at Katy, but you were exactly where you needed to be. :)
