It was a small but very productive Appleseed this weekend. A combination of conflicting events (holiday weekend, graduations, tornado cleanup from a few days before) kept attendance low. But we had three committed shooters on the line, all youths, who came out to learn marksmanship safety & skills, and R.W. history while having fun in the process! And by the end everyone agreed that it was a big success.
On the first 'red coat' target of the day, we only had one shooter make three hits on the simulated 100 yard silhouette (and that was from a rest). But by the end of the day, we had hits out to simulated 200 and 300 yards.
I want to express great thanks to the shooters and their seventh stepping guardian for making the weekend so worthwhile!
