Even though the weather was very grey, windy and mostly drizzly, 6 dedicated individuals found their way to the range Saturday morning. After a visit by the "appleseed engineers" the target line was finally constructed and made almost windproof. Students were of varied skill from total novice to returning rifleman. The 10/22 was the rifle of choice. One Marlin 795 and a cricket filled out the line. Our new IIT's rocket and Happy Hooligan got their first practical experience and did a fine job. M1bzrk rounded out the day with History.
Sunday turned out to be sunny and by the end of the day a little warm (near 70). The novices had improved greatly and had another knocking on the door to becoming a rifleman. If you have photos please post them here.
We loved our first Appleseed event so much we have already signed up for our next. Sometimes when I haul my kids to things I wonder what in the heck am I thinking, but they both had a wonderful time and are motivated to work toward a score of 210 Thank you to everyone there, instructors and students, for making this one of the most fun activities (vacations) we have had! :)
