Who all is heading to KD day? Everybody got their stuff sorted out. The ol kit is in nine different kinds of places on Tuesday and Sunday comes around pretty soon. Git yer stuffis together.
I don't always wear pants, but when I do, I prefer bigboy pants.
I'll be packed by Saturday. 8)

It's gonna be funny if .5 cleans your clock. Are you bringing your big girl pants too **)

My youngest turned twenty this morning, and I got my first application invite from the AARP. I have no clue what that has to do with KD. ++)

I never had any doubt that .5 was the superior marksperson to myself. I never had any doubt that you were really old.
Walk away, there's nothing to see here.... **)
I was seriously considering joining you guys but will be heading to Piqua instead. As I understand it, you guys will be free all day Saturday. Care to join us?
KD!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday.
Where?
Border Raid?

Yes, oh yes. I am coming to get schooled and thumped by all of you impressive riflemen.
Humble and teachable attitude present, SIR!

Clean their clocks KYwindage. Show them what it means when you let yourself get rusty as opposed to fresh, sharp and new as a rifleman...
;)

Who is rusty Techres? The Hoosier Instructor Corps is certainly not rusty.

Anyone who is rusty needs to start doing demo AQTs at the events they attend. 242 is the number to beat, held by Techres himself.

I'd be happy just to go for the tie, lol.(Was that with the cricket?)
Impressive Riflemen, huh?
Directly after shooting his AQT high score and moving to some squares:
BANG!
SPQR - "What the..?"
HQ - "Wow, that was horrible flinch! Where did it go?"
SPQR - "I don't know, it was so bad I couldn't call it!"
HQ - "I think you better start over again. I am not certain that is a safe shot. Can you see it?"
SPQR - "Hang on, let me see the field glasses."
And that was the story of how a Red Hat developed a 32moa flinch. That was my sniper moment. If someone as fat as Grimace had taken someone as skinny as Ronald hostage I would have shot the Hamburgler.

At Camp Atterbury. Keep a watch out for the next trip, as everyone attending needed to send in all their personal info by Monday.
I'm sure they'll do a great job posting lots of pics to make us who can't go super jealous, though.

Pretty much the same stuff. Just remember that whatever you need at the line you'll need to pick up and move 100 yards for each stage of the AQT. And bring a notebook to take notes so you don't forget all of the great stuff you'll learn!
Outside of what you would expect... Rifle, ammo, mags, mat, etc... The range does not have shelter and moving portable shelter between lines wouldn't work well anyway.
If it's raining, it's raining. If it's sunny, you're in the sun all day. Pit duty doesn't even save you here. The backside of the pits are a southern exposure. So be prepared for whatever weather comes our way.
Easy to eat food for through out the day and plenty of liquids...
Do not bring any arms not declared for the roster.
Excellent, reminds me of my Marine Corps days! The smell of MRE's, sunblock, and gunpowder. Will there be any potable water onsite or will we have to hump it in?

Congratulate her, of course. :)
(...and then promptly blame their equipment.) ::)
Have fun, everybody. I wish I could join you but I do not yet wear an orange hat. I had a blast out there last month and I'm looking forward to doing it again.
C ya,
brian

Yeah. Well the load is 75gr Hornady BTHP over 20.9 gr of H4895. Book data says 2800 but haven't run it over a crono. At 25 m that 75gr comes apart in the berm. Was picking up copper jacket pieces.
give her a hug, tell her she's great, get her thinking I am on her side then i am going to smack the bill of her cap down over her eyes, poke her in the ribs, kick her shins and run like you know what. ..:..

Okay, have to call myself out here.
I had been shooting Remington 55gr. UMC with comeups of 3.75 to 4.25. Today I shot a batch of Fiocci 55gr. (rather badly I might add) with measured comeups of 6 inches. I laughed at DaveD's handloads getting up above 6 but hubris broke its foot off today.
