Title: AAR Augusta, GA 14 May 2011 - 15 May 2011
Post by: bagel on May 14, 2011, 07:00:29 PM
The weather was warm and cloudy, with an occasional sprinkle. We were shielded by the covered firing line.

We had two shooters Saturday. One returning shooter Ed cleared his redcoat first thing in the morning. Ed's previous shoot was in Hinesville a little while back.

Jason had not been to an Appleseed and had positive things to say at the end of the day.

Jason nearly cleaned the redcoat at the end.

Two shooters, two riflemen! We made100% riflemen by the end of the day Saturday! This is a first for me!

Three excellent instructors facilitated the day: DrJohn, Kestak, and yours truly (bagel).

We are looking forward to either the walk-ons Sunday or hearing a course on running a top notch known distance clinic by DrJohn.

Good times all around!

Excellent teacher to student ratio. Dr.John, Kestak, and Bagel were very helpful in tweeking my shooting technique thus enabling me to earn my rifleman patch. Many thanks. Kestak's history telling is engaging. Love the accent. Now, to shoot 210+ with a centerfire at my next Appleseed opportunity.

Bobcatdad,

From the shooting you exhibited in the morning, I will say only you could earn the patch for yourself! We can talk about position and repeat the six steps and drill npoa all day long (we do it every time) but we can't do them for you.

We really couldn't have asked for better shooters!

I'm looking forward to seeing an orange hat on your head.
