Title: AAR Fresno, CA April 2-3, 2011
Post by: Garand56 on April 06, 2011, 11:15:03 AM
We had a great two days in Fresno with 16 shooters on Saturday and 10 back on Sunday. We knew it would be memorable because we started seeing 4 MOA groups on the first sheet of squares, and sure enough there were 4 new riflemen at the end of the day on Sunday. Scott shot 213, Noah 211 (after a lot of persistence and several AS), David shot 212, and Thomas pulled out an outstanding 222 after lots of frustrating equipment problems and "help" from others shooting his target. Well done all! Thanks to BP, Furrowfoot, and Krahnic (all local), and Desert Dog who got up at 4 AM and drove all the way from Ridgecrest to help out and see an old pal shoot. Looking forward to the first weekend in May and more riflemen.

G56 OUT.

It was a great shoot indeed.  The shooters all had a teachable attittude and worked hard all weekend.  My friend, Rob, cleared the Redcoat Sun morning, but had serious issues with his elbow and had to leave.  It ended up being a ligament tear.  He brought 3 guys with him, who were 2 of the Rifleman.

Thinking about it on the way home, I think we did 8 AQT's on Sunday.  Out of the 32 stages, I think Thomas shot 45+ on about 20 of them O0.

With that tricked out gun that Rob had he should be doing well...haha.  How is he doing now?

Without proper fundamentals, it doesn't matter what kind of rifle it is.
