Recalling the emotions felt during the Waterman 300 where the Revolutionary War reinnactors , Rogers Rangers and the Kankakee Fife and Drum Band
stood vigil in full costume , removed their tri corner hats and bowed their heads as a solo pipe played
this song and all sang its words in memory of our founders. It was a touching moment.
With the sudden death of Derry Brownfield this tocuhing song might be fitting as we remember his love for liberty and freedom. He was in
every respect an American Patriot fallen from our ranks. I remember the first time I listened to the program
when Fred and EEL were guests. I know these two have a much greater intimacy with him.
