Our first TEXAS LADYSEED was a HUGE success. I can't find the right words to express how successful this weekend was. I woke up today inspired by the ladies on the line this weekend. We started off the weekend with some cold windy weather but ended with warm sunny skies. M4FNG- Criss shared an inspiring first strike on Saturday morning. Spitstickler did a fantastic job on the second strike, always tugging at our heart strings and Old Glory!- what can I say- she wrapped up the day with a touching and inspirational third strike. I want to Thank M4FNG, Spitstickler, Old Glory, and Charles_W for not just "telling" the history but sharing the history with your passion and insight. I know I wasn't the only one tearing up through the strikes. We had one shooter (Liz) who reached across the table to Old Glory! clasped her hands and said thank you for sharing the story of Prudence Wright with us. Liz then explained then a touching story that left many of us with tears.
We had all levels of shooters with us this weekend and everyone showed improvement. Our red coat targets from Saturday to Sunday - went from 100 yard shooters to 400 yard shooters. EVERYONE persisted, adapted, and overcame obstacles this weekend. I know we were all sore and tired but no one gave up!!! You (the shooters) are all RIFLEWOMEN!!! :~ :~
Liz- I don't know if you realized how much you inspired the other shooters and instructors. You are a special and wonderful lady. If a 78 year old (former British) lady can attend an Appleseed for both days enduring all the physical stress then there are no excuses for the rest of us Americans to get moving!! :)
Special thanks to Jeremy (thesheepdog's brother) for filming the event for promotional material. Kirk- thanks again for those fabulous photos.
My Fella DIVAS - I am honored to have shared my passion with you all. I want to thank you for your support and look forward to our next event.
Special Thanks to Tish (Charles_W wife) for preparing the lunch for everyone both days AND the instructor dinner.
Old Glory!- I can't thank you enough for coming down to Texas and helping me instruct. I learned some great tips and hope to work with you again on the trail.
Good job Lauren O0
I know you have been planning this shoot with the DIVAS for about a year! I knew it was going to be a success when I saw the listed Instructors. You had a solid crew.
Keep up the good work and thank you for all the time you have put into Appleseed.
I'll see you on the trail.
Mark
It was a really great event. Lots of marksmanship improvement throughout the weekend and great discussion about the history. Thanks to everyone who made it out. And Lauren, thank you for all the hard work and dedication on making this event a reality.
You really have to go see the hundreds of pictures from the weekend to get a perspective of the general spirt of the event.

I was there only for Sunday afternoon due to prior commitments. However, given the strong well natured chatter from the DIVAs, I was taken upon how when I started to tell the history of Parker's revenge, how quiet everyone became. The DIVAs truly understand our mission and appreciate the history like no other group of shooters I have instructed. And more so than many others, they embody the spirit of a Rifleman, er Riflewoman, in every aspect.
It was truly an honor and privilege to help instruct such a group of shooters.
And for our DFW area instructors, Texas Rifleman, M4FNG, Charles_w, spitstickler, and thesheepdog, I could not be more proud of you all. And Old Glory!, Thank you for coming down to help us instruct. We always learn so much from our instructors from other parts.
A few more pics.
