Posted our first Craigs list ad tonight.

Your feedback is appreciated.
We've been mulling craigslist over for CT promos, but were warned off by crak in MA due to a bad experience he had - think not only spam but actually hacking. Best wishes that it doesn't go that way for you - I've posted personally several times to sell some items and never had a problem - but please let us know how it goes, for good or for ill.

Thanks.
Giving it a shot.
Set up a "disposable" email address to handle the mail separate form normal traffic in case of spam.
This was my first interaction with Craigslist.
Reviewed this morning and revised prices.
Was up too late at night/early in the morning posting the listing.
thanks for the heads up.
Nothing bad will happen as long as you practice safe interneting. Don't click on any "OMG the world is ending unless you click on this link" links in an email, don't have the same password for everything, don't accept facebook friends that aren't real people you know.
For the record, I was not the one having problems. :)
Sorry crak - I got the warning from vernic82 when I suggested craigslist for promos, and he mentioned that you got pwned. Glad to hear you have good interwebs hygiene.
Good advice.
Always keep my shields up when surfing the tubes of the interweb.
Sorry for the bad geek joke.

heh. I use a Prophylactic called Trojan-Linux. With only established, related connections allowed through iptables.
Sorry for the even worse geek joke.
Seriously though. I'd tried Craigslist but did'nt get much bang for the buck. I also think maybe some San Francisco boys kept flagging me as a spammer. Something about 'evil black rifles.'
have you tried using Armslist.com? Its like Craigslist for gun nuts. not as many people on it.
www.backpage.com is another similar to Craigslist that is gaining popularity. They are also much more gun friendly.
