AFTER ACTION REPORT: Dublin, GA: February 26 & 27, 2011
Temperatures were in the mid 70s F, with an intermittent gentle breeze from 12 O'clock.
The Twin Pines Range in Dublin is not covered at the 25 meter line kept us needing sun screen on the two cloudless days.
We had 12 students on Saturday and 10 on Sunday. This was our first weekend at Dublin; I'm happy with the attendance.
Students were extremely enthusiastic and the majority were not repeat Appleseed attendees.

A great two days in Dublin, GA.
We not only had a beautiful weekend for our inaugural Appleseed event at Dublin, Georgia, but we were graced with a number of very enthusiastic students of all ages. Our hosts, Mark Trexler and Carl Avery, board members of the range, could not have been more accommodating, and the groundskeeper, Cliff Warner, did all he could to see to the success of the "shoot". The instructors were very impressed with how quickly our students picked up the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship, and how persistent they were in the face of physicals limitations and challenges. A word of complaint was not heard the entire weekend, and students continued to shoot AQTs until almost sundown Sunday. Georgia Gun Owners Twin Oaks Range is a valuable community asset, and Appleseed looks forward to returning again in the near future. It was a pleasure and honor to be able to share Appleseed with such patriotic Americans.
I had a great time at this shoot. This was my second Appleseed and, like the first time, I was highly impressed. Taz, Dr John and the other instructors were highly professional, well organized and encouraging. The instruction was superb. Technique was reinforced and I picked up on a few problem areas I still need to work on. I'll be back to another and I'll get that patch (!) but, more importantly, I'll bring my sons.
It's obvious that all the instructors are passionate about our liberty and heritage. In this day and age, it is refreshing to meet patriots.
