Whow....... Don't know where to start. 2 guys shot!!!!!!! 1st off all of the Appleseed volunteers are OK. Shaken up a bit by the accident but OK. An unloaded Ruger Mini-14 went off when a patron was laying a rifle on a table and went off and into and out of a wooden post and into a guys arm and completely through another person. The one man has been released and the other is reported in serious to critical condition. The booth was well staff but was shut down for a while Saturday while the booth was roped off for crime scene pics. The booth was busy both days and we had a lot of interest. We sure stressed Appleseed gun safety on Sunday and there sure is a need for our mission.
more later.

Wait so was this just at a gun show or at an actual seed?

This was a gun show, not a seed.
We had a booth to do promotion.
Scarry...very scarry.
Whoa brother! Glad to hear you are in one piece!
A couple Indy 1500s ago a dealer was checking pistols before the show began and an "unloaded" .45 went off. no injuries. This is another reason we need Appleseed, TO IMPROVE FIREARM SAFETY.
Glad to hear you are in one piece.
Dave (OutaAmmo) is to be commended on his effort in securing the table and location for us Appleseeders. Absent calamity, this would have been a huge boost for us. As it was, there was still a lot of interest in our program. As noted earlier, we had a receptive audience when we discussed and described our safety training. It was a disturbing incident but OutaAmmo, Joanne, and AK were calm, collected, and good representatives of Appleseed throughout the day. We tried to make the best out of a bad situation.
Hello All; The Bloomington Gun Show is a nice two day show. Well attended, (a great spot to grow Appleseed!)
Saturday AM prior to the Opening to the public the table and back drop was set up and ready for the folks.
Thankyou for all your efforts securing a table at this show and Staffing both Saturday and Sunday, Thank You Team Illinois.. Pappy
