15 shooters were priviliged to have the opportunity of using the Minot Rifle and Pistol Club's beautiful indoor range this past weekend. We had a wide range of experience levels but everyone made much improvement. You were all very attentive and made good students. Thanks again Lon, Megan, Matt, Dale, Jesse, Jeff, Kris, Caleb, John, Sid, Carson, Carter, Zachery, Joshua, and Josiah!
I was Shoot Bossing the event with the assistance of Banjoman (Peter) and 7.62 (Matt). Couldn't have done it without you.
Saturday we were not able to use the range itself until after 12:00 noon because the local Junior Rifle Team was using the facility. We used the morning to go through two of the three strikes, Steady Hold Factors for all positions, IMC, 6 steps, etc. It was definitely information overload but after hitting the range it seemed the instruction had payed off.
Sunday we saw some new shooters coming at 10 o'clock in the morning, but they caught up fast. We had several almost-riflemen knocking at the door: scores of 206 and 208, among others. Keep 'em up! A rifleman persists!
The classrom also had a large whiteboard that made for plenty of nice visuals aids.
Remember the shoot at Minot's outdoor range on June 18/19! We'll be sure to not only talk about Known Distance shooting, but actually do it, too. Here's some pictures:
Looks like an excellent range! 15/12 - That's pretty packed too!
Way to go North Dakota! Keep runnin'em lik this; MN's gonna have to watch our NW territory!
Our founders are pleased, I'm sure!
