Thank you all for your well wishes.  I couldn't dream of having a better group of people to work with on the trail, and to call friends!

You know, out of all the times I listened to the stirring history told by other instructors, and saw the emotions welling up and spilling over as Greg told about Isaac Davis, the profound sacrifice that was made on that day never completely hit me until I told the story for the first time myself, and my own voice began to crack as I thought of my own wife and children, how tough it would be for me to walk out that door myself, never to see them again on this earth...

Being an Appleseed instructor is a rare and special thing.  I will do my best not to squander this opportunity.
