To fully embrace Fred's concern that our nation is sinking here is a sobering reality as to why Appleseed is so important
and why each of us can make a huge difference in our country just this year alone if we make the kind of Delawarean effort
we should. Very sobering indeed. Based on this article of Richard Russell we cannot 'be summer time soldiers' in the words of Thomas Paine.
This year needs everyone to spread the history and awaken the masses. I got off the phone with the owner of White Oak Armament
and he is just thrilled with what Appleseed represents and it trying to accomplish and his company is going to be supporting us.
Will keep you posted on further developements with them for it is good. All you have to do is tell the story and people respond
so incredibly. It is so easy. We can do this Appleseed, we can do this if we stay on mission and get the right people into office!
USD OMG
by Richard Russell
Is the US's financial position hopeless? I've studied the US finances backwards and forwards, and as I see it the US's financial position most definitely is hopeless.
The actual posted national debt of the US is $14.1 trillion. However, the US reports its finances on a cash basis while omitting its unfunded obligations in such items
as Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and various other entitlements. If the entitlements are included, the total national debt including unfunded obligations would
be over $100 trillion.
Wait, it gets worse. Entitlements, defense and interest on the national debt takes up 80% of the entire budget of the US.
That leaves just 20% that can be sliced away
if the US wants to actually cut into its deficits. So what's left to cut? Actually, nothing that's politically feasible.
To make the picture even more grotesque, the first group of baby boomers is now reaching the retirement age of 65. As they leave the nation's work force,
the problem of financing Social Security becomes more difficult if not impossible.
So what in God's name is the answer to all this? How will the US's finances be handled? There are only two ways that I can come up with:
The first is - to default, just declare that the nation is dead broke and it can't meet its obligations. That would be tantamount to admitting that the US is less than
a third-rate power, a dying banana republic. Unthinkable.
The second way would be to devalue the currency to the point where obligatory dollar debts would be financed or paid off with dollars equal to pennies or nickels. ...

That's some great news regarding White Oak Armament Castle Mountain O0 Look forward to reports on any progress!
As for the Great article on Debt, while it is true, it is merely a symptom of the greater problems that Appleseed intends to cure. Nothing is ever "Hopeless" in America.
Every Generation has had it's foundation rocked at one point or another and we always prevailed, this too will be the case here.
Does that mean it will be easy/consider it handled? Most certainly not. Every new crisis is an even bigger crisis than the last, so we must work that much harder to fix this one.
Hopefully as America Awakens to their troubles, they will not select a band-aid for such a mortal wound, but that is where we come in.... isn't it?
See you on the trail O0
Hey Castle Mountain, I assume the owner of WOA has been to an Appleseed, or will be attending one this year. He could bring a group of employee's to a nearby shoot 8) . This would be a great opportunity for Appleseed promotion's. Think of it a tri-fold in every package White Oak Armament ships. O0
Companies like WOA prove that America will find a way to show the world we are number one and always will be. The state of Illinois, which has at times shown it self not so gun friendly, has some of the greatest gun manufacturing and accessories companies in the world. Springfield, Armalite, RRA, WOA just to name a few all considered small business, and they find a way to be successful.

While the article is important, its just another iceberg to watch out for. G 69's reply is right on as is the your post CM.
We can't be on the deck calling out the next iceberg while we should be bailing. Somehow Wisconsin got the point and we now have a few good men and women who are steering this ship in the right direction.
