Ya gotta love winterseeding in New Mexico. Although the weather was cold (for us) we had six shooters eager to hear the history of the founding of our nation and brush-up on their marksmanship skills at the same time.
We all know the self discipline and dedication it takes to make a riflemen. JustJeff persevered through equipment failures and earned his rifleman patch. More importantly he has joined us on the trail by accepting the responsibility of an orange hat and is 7th stepping in earnest. CONGRATULATIONS !!!! and welcome aboard. I would also like to commend the entire cadre of shooters we had last weekend, it is always a pleasure to work with a group that is eager to learn and takes instruction as well as this group. I hope to see you all in the near future. As always the instructor corps worked like a well oiled machine getting all Points of Instruction out and running a safe shoot.
See you all on the trail,
Milt
Thanks for the kind words Milt. Can't blame it all on the equipment...some of it was the 'stick actuator.'
Here are the pics I took with my phone.

Thanks to the great instructors and good humored fellow shooters this weekend-well, Saturday. It hurt to miss the second day of Appleseed due to family circumstances, but I plan on being back! Many thanks for the patient instruction, equipment loans, etc. I learned a lot and look forward to doing this again and making more progress.
Thank you for the opportunity DieslPwrd.
It was a pleasure having you with us and we look forward to seeing you on the line again.
Please don't be a stranger.

DieslPwrd, I second Sam's comment, we'd love to have you back..O.L. O0
Your kidding about that being a "Winterseed".... right? ::)

Maybe a couple of years ago after moving down here from Alaska and North Dakota I to would question calling this a winterseed. After living through four summers here I've come to realize that any time the temps drop below 80 I'm looking for a jacket and when it's in the 40's I'm cold. If I'm cold it must be winter. Good to hear from you Boba.

Good to hear from you to DD. Looks like we've both come a long way since WSMR. Either that or we've both lost our minds. #)

Yep another great shoot. Sorry for being late on checking in, but being in ABQ for 3 days at the VA then turning right around and head for Midland TX for my first "Out of Immediate Family" AS it has been a long couple of weeks. DSL PWR, I need to get you in touch with someone, just have to remember who. And again, Thanks Jeff for stepping up, you are going to be a great asset to us all.
Remember folks, Green Chile Vegetable Stew and Cornbread on the menu for lunch at ROW the 4th and 5th.
