I need a minimum of Six RH to make this happen. If you plan on attending let me know here by posting below.
Please note this is an Advanced Instructor Boot Camp. You must be a RH to attend. For those of you who are not RH yet, I will schdeule an IBC in the near future. Or we may see about going up to Nebraska to attend the IBC there.

I'll throw my hat in the ring...sounds like fun!
Ben
I am in!
Is this a clarification on the confusion over dates??
This is clarification. And This makes three.
I will come. Also, my PM's from Fred on the AIBC say it is for IIT3 and above. I have a few IIT's who want to come to this.
IIT3 and above. This is correct. I had been given some verbal instructions and I followed them. I too have seen the written Instructions that confirm IIT3 and above.
This makes four.
Please sign up here as I am not sure this will be posted on Evenbright.
Dec 11-12 (incl Fri evening) AIBC: $40 per head includes kitchen, dining hall, retreat center. You will need to bring linens or a sleeping bag. This covers the cost of a place to sleep as well as hot showers.
I will be following up with more details as soon as I can confirm.
][
Evenbright should be up in the next day or so.
We now have five people attending.
As soon as I see this is on the Official schedule i will post in IA, AR, MO, OK and NE. CO even.
][
Will there be any instructing Friday night, and is it cheaper if we don't stay overnight? I could probably make it out for at least one of the days, maybe two.
I'm registered...
Me too!
I am looking forward to it O0
REGISTERED.
Looks like I got scheduled to be on call for work that weekend. Unless I can get someone to trade with me, looks like I'm out.
Sorry to hear that, ksguy.
We OK instructors talked about it at Grandfield last weekend, and we are planning on renting a van and carpooling up there.
So far the ones planning on coming are me, dalesp, Scarecrow, A-bomb, and oldgrunt. K98Al might come out for one day.
Great! We got one hot and a plenty of cots for you all....
Hey!
Have we figured out the food arrangements yet??
The camp will be doing breakfast Sat and Sunday....not sure about lunch and dinner yet.
Registered. Paper and pens ready.
Pre Reg showes SIX. It looks as if there will be more. This will be happening.
Yippeee!! ^:)^
Be safe, in your travels shooters! And have a blessed Thanksgiving!
See ya on the backside of the holiday!! :)
Same to you biker! Have a great holiday...we get to venture into the "show-me state" this weekend, for Thanksgiving v 2.0...
Ben

IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THE AIBC IN EUREKA ON DEC 11-12, PLEASE REGISTER USING THE EVENTBRITE LINK, SO WE CAN GET A HEADCOUNT!
This is REAL important, otherwise YOU MAY NOT get breakfast! Seriously, for logistics we need an idea of who all is attending.
Thanks!
Ben
Hey!
Have we locked down which meals are going to be provided other than Breakfest on Sat and Sunday? Also; what is the final $$$$ if we plan on staying at the camp on Friday Night?
Inquiring Minds want to know! :D
$50 includes the facility (bunkhouse AND kitchen/meeting hall) breakfast Sat and Sun. Other meals are still up in the air....
Looks like I will be pull-in in late Friday night do I need to sleep in a motel or can I drive in??And drop in the dorms??Other than that I hope we get to shoot 22lr's at least..I cant say I found much on what to bring either lol I don't want to bring much other than tools for this type of boot camp...Okay that's it just drop me a PM if you think you might be able to help me pack up lol...I got stickers still....lol Looking forward to the learning and shooting with Rifleman....Oh does this mean FRED's bringing rockers??I want a rocker for the beatings &) I'm finning to get for 2 days...
Thanks,
Come on out to the camp Fri night....I'll have them leave the light on for you. I THINK this is all classroom time, but not having been to an AIBC before, I could be wrong.....beatings?! I thought they were kiddin' about that part....
I am planning on being there fri night. Figured I would try to roll in BEFORE it gets COLD and starts snowing!
National Weather Service says there's a 20% chance of rain & snow on Sat. and Saturday night the low is 15 degrees with 33+ mph NW wind. Missed a Really Good "winterseed" weekend!! ;D
Hey! No problem...you know where the backers are, and I could PROBABLY scare up some AQTs......
Wish I wasn't on call for this weekend. I even had it requested as one i would prefer off when we made the schedule, but that's how it goes I guess.
Have fun without me!
WE NEED THE PATCHES I MIGHT HAVE SOME ??LOL WERE SHOOTING LOL
Hmmm....I THINK ][rish has some of the new patches...
OK, I'll see you guys tomorrow night, prob about suppertime.
If anyone has an extra air mattress, I'd sure appreciate a loan (I'll have a bag).
OK...no prob.
Dalesp, Scarecrow, A-bomb and I are going to try to get there by 11:00.
Fred, the cabins have beds... they don't have the softest mattresses in the world, but they might be a little nicer than an air mattress.
See you all soon!
I can bring my two air mattresses. That way there will be a choice.
The big dorm had no bunks in July. The small lodges have no heat.
I expect we can send a runner for groceries for lunch supplies.
Guess I can bring "Darth LTR" if we are going to winterseed the QDAQT.
Not to step on anyones toes (4bfox & ][ ) :)
But the bunk house has a full compliment of bunks and a "Master Bedroom" with a twin mattress which I "ASSUME" will be made available.
The Bunk House is heated, we have running water and an inside bathroom and showers!! ^:)^
It even has a Table with Chairs and furniture! Quite an upgrade from what it was like in July!! Sorry guys, the pool, (cement pond) has been drained, the ducks and geese were starting to be a problem and the floating sheets of ice were presenting a hazard.
Pretty good digs if you ask a poor old Nebraska/Kansas country boy like me! ++)
Good deal. I did not want to shower in the bath house out by the pool.
I'm bringing an electric space heater, so if it gets cramped in the heated main bunk house, I can take one of those cozy little cabins, with any hardy folk who care to join me. I may do that anyway, if you old men keep me awake with your snoring. ;D
Oh my I forgot.........LUMBERJACKS......Hmmmm lol Earplugs are a must ....seeya soon ...call if you guys need anything I'll be in the area ..580-278-4942.....It is hunting season you know ..hehehe
Stepped up to the plate after making the grade last month in Brighton, CO. This weekend, I gave myself a birthday present and traveled 500 miles for the AIBC in Eureka, KS.
What a powerful experience! Fred led the training, so needless to say, it was another experience of drinking from a fire hose. But I learned so much and had a great time. After meeting so many fantastic people from Kansas and Oklahoma with such a passion for the Appleseed mission, I feel even more jazzed than I did after earning that first Rifleman patch!
What a way to get started.
Special thanks to Ben (4bfox) for making this happen.
GO PROJECT EUREKA!!!!
Thanks to everyone who came out to make this a success.
Crazy Tim drove Nine hours to be here. That's dedication.
Happy Birhtday to Crazy Tim and Henschman.
Of course, thank you Fred.
And thank you 4bfox for all your admin work in making this happen.
This will take me a few days to think about everything we discussed. Powerful stuff.
I'm sure pics will follow.
][
MAN....talk about drinking from the firehose! Whew....my head hurts....so much information!
I agree with ][, will take a few days for it all to sink in. Thanks to our wonderful hosts Audie and Bonnie at Christian Hills Camp, who I forgot to mention earlier, RE-UPed for 2011 earlier this week! So our monthly shoots and RBC in Eureka are nailed down for ANOTHER YEAR! Huzzah!
THANKS to everyone who came out.....those who couldn't make it....you missed one heck of a weekend!
4b
Some Pictures!
and yes, the fire in the fireplace is real! And it stayed stoked! With 40+mph north winds and 15 degrees the building's heaters had a heck of a time keeping up! The whole north and west sides are lined with (leaky) windows!
Hmmm,
..Looks like you all had a good productive weekend, glad to see so many smiling faces.........Kansas Rules.....
..Blessings from New York.................JW..........................
I also had a great time and learned sooooooo much. It was nice to see so many familiar faces and some new ones too. Such great people and very uplifting subject matter. I agree lots to take in and think about but it really gets your motivation going. Always keep our eyes on the mission.
Thank you to Fred for taking your time and spending it with all of us O0
Hope to see everyone again real soon. :~ :~
Was a pleasure to meet Fred and everyone else I had not already met. I'm always happy to be a among fellow Appleseeders. Even those I don't know immediately become friends.
Always good to be in the company of Riflemen.
Thanks for the birthday cake guys... The GF and I are still eating on it. mmm mmm.
Viva la project EUREKA!
