Pictures from Clinton, Arkansas Appleseed 10/30-31.

A great Appleseed...four new Riflemen, and three new IIT's The three new IIT's are all in one family, from right to left, brothers Eric and Arne, and son of Eric. Probably a first time this has happened!

SMLE will be sharing his thoughts soon, I'm sure....you other fellers jump in too!
This is the first Appleseed run by all Arkansas Instructors!

Excellent news!  Arn and Eric, I enjoyed meeting you in August and am glad to see you working so hard!  3 new IITs!  Wow! Fantastic!

You'll see a PM/post from me to all the Arkansas instructors (new and old) to use this momentum to our advantage and plan for a strong finish in 2010, and a great start to 2011!!

Thank you all for taking up the hats.  O0

Man, that is good news.  I'm glad the program is finally taking flight in AR.  Sorry I couldn't come over and help with the shoot that weekend.  If there's anything else you guys need just give me a shout.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all.

Mr. H has EARNED that patch!  He was there in April & August.  I hope he didn't get away without a discussion about an Orange Hat!  >:D

Thanks again to SMLE and Quinncannon for coming down and running the show!  Izard County Boys had a great time, got some Rifleman patches and Orange Hats!  Looking forward to having an event closer to Calico Rock sometime soon, if a suitable location and willing landowner can be found.  Thanks to everyone who showed up, and a big hand for Deck Ape for bringing it all together!

I really enjoyed this Appleseed with the Izard County Boys! ITDisaster, your Dad and Uncle Arne(Deck Ape) are the salt of the earth....I'm really looking forward to seeing you fellows again. I would also like to shoot that MAS 45 again also! :)

It was a nice weekend. It was a real honor to give out four Rifleman patches and three Orange hats. Harvey worked hard all weekend to get that patch. And yes he got away without the orange hat talk. In his defense, he was beat.
The Izard County boys would be a fine addition to any states roster. I believe that they'll do Arkansas proud. Nothing like keeping it all in the family.
I will say that everyone left happy, educated and a hand full of targets for practice and challenges.

A big "thank you" to SMLE and Quincannon for a great weekend at Clinton. I couldn't be there Sunday, but sure was happy to hear that Harvey won his patch! Way to hang in there man! Quincannon, I consider it an honor for you or SMLE or any other appleseeders to shoot any rifle I own. Your part of a great outfit, and I feel privileged to be a part of it.

I also want to mention that TW, the man with the wide brim hat made Rifleman with a bolt action! His first Appleseed and a bolt action to boot, pretty darn good!

Well done Arkansas!

But now for the important question....

When's the next Arkansas Appleseed?

Thanks to SMLE & Quinncannon for instruction &  being there.
Temp was 26 degrees @ range on Sat. morning & was perfect thereafter.
Can't say enough for all those involved in putting this together & for the Land Owner allowing the use of his property.
This location may possibly become an ongoing Appleseed event & expand into KD as well.
Further discussions with landowner will tell.

Endeavor to Persaver

Looks great.  I knew Arne and Eric would make rifleman their next appleseed and they did!  I really wish I could have gone to this one but things have been hectic with work lately.

Other than freezing Saturday morning, I had a great time. Thanks to SMLE gunsmithing me a cheek pad and coaching me on some finer points I finally got my rifleman badge. I will be at the next ( warm weather ) meet with an AR15. If I can qualify with that I will try an M1.
I have often noticed that gun people are always polite, and helpful to others. The people that came to Clinton were typical, offering food, drink, ammo or weapons - you could not find a better group and I hope to see you all again. A special thanks to Arn for providing the T-posts, wire and backing that made the shoot possible.

Harvey
