Title: Piru CA October 16-17, 2010
Post by: Dano on October 18, 2010, 08:47:39 PM
The Piru weather was great for the Appleseed that followed the RBC. We had cool weather in the 60°s it was a real change from usual. We had a great group of instructors with Camljr, ArtKat2, Cowgirl Ducky, Texas Tim, and Kevin helping out. We made three Rifle man over the course of the weekend Geo with a 213 backed up with a 228, Daniel 753X0 with a 223 and Peter who shot a 210. Peter also took up an orange hat.

The 2x4 shoot was won by the Right Side Team, They tied for the first round and won the next two without a doubt. Kefa showed up with his Mosin Nagant that was taller than he was and shot big holes in the 2x4. Great job Kefa. He was heard to comment, " The kick is not that bad" while trying to convince his mom Donna to try with the Mosin.

We also had several shooters who showed real improvement over the weekend. I think Damon and Serg and Glen will not be far being in making rifleman. Herve was also getting close.

Histories were well received with Camljr making a big impression with his Brown Bess demo.

Thanks for showing me the ropes Dano!

I know you love it, but even you must have been getting tired after RBC all week!

Had a great time, and as always it's good to learn from the best (Dano, Camljr, Kool, and even a little bit of Hollywood Marine!). Our IIT's were outstanding,  Cowgirl duckie, Texas Tim and Kevin, I was privileged to spend time with you guys.

And the shooters...What can you say, does it ever get old seeing them walk away on Sunday afternoon beat and tired with a silly grin and a look in their eyes like they want more?

Thanks all

Andy
