To all,
We're just back from this weekend's shoot. We once again had the opportunity to hold an event at Fernan Rod & Gun Club in Coeur d'Alene.
It was a good shoot, with the weather quite balmy for northern Idaho this time of year. A bit brisk in the morning, but pleasant before lunch time and through the afternoon.
First off, congratulations to the three new Riflemen: Michael S., Carlene L., and Bob J. All had sound Rifleman scores, and Carlene did it four times in one day. This was her 5th Appleseed.
Thanks to all of the shooters who turned out to see what Appleseed is all about. I hope that you left with far more than you anticipated. We were quite impressed by the level of improvement we saw in all of you over the weekend. The persistence that you exhibited is one of the characteristics that we try to emphasize. Stay with us, and we'll get you all to Rifleman skill level. Don't forget to practice what we taught you. It will pay off.
Kudos to the instructors who helped at this event. One of the very best parts of this organization is the people I get to work with, whose competency and skill level are the essential ingredients of successfully accomplishing our goals of conveying a love for Liberty, and the assimilation of the marksmanship skills that produce real Riflemen.
I hope to see you all next time.
Best regards,
Reformed Redneck
Another great shoot in the books. Lots of improvement was seen by all. Congrats to Carlene, Bob, and Mike on their rifleman scores! After five shoots, Carlene, your persistence finally paid off! ^:)^ :) Shooters, it was great to work with you. Come on back to another Appleseed, and bring some friends!
Guess I'll provide some pictures. ::) :cool2:
It may have been a smaller group (think Cold in Idaho) but at least it wasn't snow or rain. ::) I thought I recognized some of the names and thanks to Evenstar's pictures I get to see that Heather is almost a professional grade Riflewoman, Scott still working up to take over, Still Learnin' is standing too far back from his audience (although I am sure his voice carries well) and that you have done well with three new Riflemen - although I almost don't recognize the Red Hat presenting the patch - her smile is great. :) Looking good on all counts, thanks Reformed Redneck O0
Glad to here it went well... the deer beckoned (unsuccessfully), so we couldn't be there. Congratulations to Carlene, you truly deserve to be a Riflewoman.
Roland
Congratulations to the new Riflemen O0
Beautiful range and scenery ;)
Good job RR and the Idaho folks .
Congratulations to the new Rifleman!
A special congratulations to Carlene.
We wish we could have been there to see you earn your patch.
A rifleman persists, and you have embodied persistence and perseverance.
It looks like you all had a great time.

Once Heather gets rifle(wo)man with the AR, she is going to tackle the M1 Garand! ^:)^
