You can google Samuel Whitemore...lots on the web about him.

Also Hezekiah Wyman, Mother Batherick, all just a google away...

I believe each of the standard dangerous old men has some coverage in Fischer's book.  My approach was to take each name (given in PC4) and then look in the index to Fischer.
