Weather: It could have been hotter, but not by much. 100 degrees plus and a slight monsoon on Saturday. 98 degrees and very humid after the monsoon on Sunday.
We had a total of seven diehard shooters that showed up on Saturday. All exhibited an enormous amount of perseverance under the duress of heat. Sunday came and only four shooters came back.
Two physicians, an engineer and an accountant come to an Appleseed in June in SC. Sounds like a joke? It wasn't.
We had all knocking on the door to becoming a Rifleman and I saw excellent groups from all by SUnday.
I have lots of pics that I am holding hostage. The payment is two AAR's from the students. Look forward to hearing from y'all.
ALL:
I attended the Appleseed shoot in Anderson SC, June 26 & 27.
THE GOOD: Learned a LOT. Fortunately the ratio of instructors to participants was extremely low on Sunday. Three instructors to 4 students.
Lots of individual attention and instruction. Safety was heavily stressed. The instructors really wanted you to improve. Great instructors. I will be back for the October shoot.
THE BAD: Although there shouldn't be an "age" requirement (upper or lower limit), there should be a maturity requirement. Maturity being defined as the ability to "understand" instructions and "follow" commands.
This is a SAFETY issue, folks.
THE UGLY: Weather. It was hot but you have to work with what you have. No control over it, so....get over it.

I had planned to attend, and it would have been my second event. But my supreme commander instructed me to take her and the dog to the mountains for the weekend. It was only in the mid 80's up there. In that I had spent most of the last week working out side and up on roofs, I chose not to submit a change in orders.
Dwayne said that more are scheduled in the Fall both here down near Cola. and possibly over in Rockhill... hopefully I will be able to squeak one in somehow, I'm really looking forward to doing better than 211.
I could lone you an AR Dwayne.... not sure what an AAR is... if that would help with the pictures.
