Title: Of Rocks, Trees, Rifles and Militia - Colonial Williamsburg Journal-Winter
Post by: cannonman61 on May 04, 2010, 08:18:02 AM

This is a good read. Something most of us already realize and incorporate into our history.

But, it's always good to see it out there in mainstream publications.

Excellent article, thanks!

As for me, I still think aimed fire from cover is better.  I've read about Abercromby's tactic before.  Do you know if the Riflemen adjusted their tactics so they were not within that dangerous distance again?
