Tech has a version.  Similar to the SKS.  Not cheap if I recall.  If you decide you want them, I get a discount for Appleseeders  ;D

PM me for more info.

Def. not cheap!
Replaces the whole reciever cover as well as the recoil spring guide.
Looks to be a solid piece.  And unlike the SkS version; it appears to allow you to field strip without tools...
I'd really like to see one; on the line or elsewhere.  They look good, but are they?'
I'm not convinced quite enough by the pics to dish out that kind of money.

Another option for click-adjustable sights is Mojo.

I've heard some good remarks on these.  Replaces the origional tangent.
You get the bennifit of an apurature.  But no added sight-radious. :(

I'd like to hear more on this topic if anyone has expirience.

P.S.  If you do want the Tech-sights; definately go through EEL.  It's well worth it!  He may even throw in an Appleseed 300 flyer!

My Mojo click sight fell apart inside of three range trips.  Literally fell apart.  I am interested in the Tech Site version but have no standard AK right now so the point is moot, but when I have another I will give the Tech Site a try.

I have two sets of Mojo Sites on my AK's,and have had no problems with them.  I did not go with the click style, just the standard (I bought them over five years ago).  It helps improve accuracy quite a bit.  I also put on a match front site post (Tech Sites sells them) and that helped quite a bit.

I have the AK Tech Sights, and I think they're great.  They are the best money you can spend on your AK, if you ask me.  The only downside is that it does make the dust cover a little harder to remove, but its not too bad.  You just need a bullet tip.

I really don't think an aperture is an advantage unless its close to your eye.  The idea is that you don't have to even think about it being there -- your eye automatically wants to put the post in the point of greatest light (the center of the aperture).  I think those apertures that replace your tangent are a bit of a gimmick.  The only advantage those Mojo sights would give would be that they are click adjustable, IMO.

I have a Romanian WASR -- pretty much the cheapest AK money can buy.  The only things I have done to it are Tech Sights, a GI sling, a railed forearm (so I could install a front sling swivel), and a butt pad to extend the length of pull.  This rifle is a proven 400 yard rifle -- it holds less than man-sized groups out to 400.  I think it would still be man-sized at 500, if I had the range to test it on.  The aperture sight with 1 MOA elevation clicks made all the difference.

Well, I could live with that...  As long as it's not a screwdriver and an Allen wrench. :wall:

As far as the mid-range aperature sights; I do find advantage.  Could be just mental; but perhaps it's the ability to look through it as opposed to past it.  Still not as good as the long sight-radius of a reciever mounted sight though.
