Project Appleseed Rifle Marksmanship/History Events

The Revolutionary War Veteran's Association (RWVA) will be conducting Project Appleseed rifle marksmanship events on August 11-12, September 22-23, and October 27-28, 2012 at the Emerald Empire Gun Club, 36111 McGowan Creek Road, Springfield, Oregon. The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Important note: The range is allowing Appleseed special access earlier than their regular hours. On-site sign-in at 7:30-8:00 AM.

Learn the foundational skills of the RIFLEMAN: 3 shooting positions, use of the sling, six steps to firing the shot, natural point of aim, how to zero your rifle using inches/minutes/clicks, and more.

You will also hear the stories of the American Revolution surrounding the events of April 19, 1775, when marksmanship met history and American Heritage was born. Appleseed promotes civic involvement in both your community and nation. Men attend both days for $70, women for $10, and kids under 21 are $5. Active military, law enforcement officers, and elected officials with ID can register FREE. For more information e-mail OR (at) appleseedinfo.org or visit this link.
