What a fun Appleseed! Despite the typical spring rain showers the mood of the eight shooters wasn't dampened at all! And the scores showed with a regular uptrend throughout the weekend.
Tundra Badger set the tone for the weekend with a decisive requalification on the first AQT of the weekend. This was followed by a regular stream of improved scores across all the shooters with three new riflemen. Congratulations to Brad, Danny, and Ron! And from the scores, it surely won't be long before Chase, Ryan, Chris, and Jacob will be joining them. Big John then put the end cap on the AQTs with another requalification.
And the history wasn't slowed down by the rain either. Amazingly, the heaviest rain fell during the times of history and KD instruction where we could be under shelter. It was almost as if it was coordinated. We even got to hear about Ron's and Ryan's visit to battle road. And Jacob received a well deserved youth patch for his attentiveness to safety, instruction, and history.
Thanks to all the shooters and instructors for making this such a positive event!
It was a great weekend in spite of the weather. Thanks again to all of our shooters for being safe and eager to learn! Pictures to follow!

Again, my son and I had a great time, and again we both missed earning the patch....but we will be back....Again. Great instructors who know their stuff. See ya next time!
A great group of students, and one unruly instructor.
More of the line.
Tundrabadger hard at it.
Danny with his first two of many qualifying AQTs of the weekend. Great shooting Danny!
Ron receiving his rifleman patch.
Jacob receiving his youth patch from Bigjohn. Great improvement over the weekend and great safety Jacob.
Brad receiving his rifleman patch.
Way to go everybody!
Ron, nice work with your CZ boltie!
This was a good shoot. It rained, some; it shined, some; the wind blew, a lot (it is Redbrush Range, after all.)
8 shooters, 1 requal, and three new riflemen. Two sets of fathers and sons, one youth, and a few younger guys.
Good job to Ron, Brad, and Danny for their patch, and Dan for making scoring easy in the 240s. Ron and Chris and Jacob
are right there, and Chase was holding down the right side of the line with a bone stock SKS (guaranteed to warm our
Shoot Boss's heart) and he's right there as well.
Attentive, courteous, excellent group this weekend, everything went so well with such regularity, it was almost monotonous for a bit.
