What a fantastic event.

It was a great group of shooters and boy did they work hard. We had some thunder, lightning and heavy rain in the afternoon on Saturday, a perfect time for some history. The weather was hot but beautiful on Sunday. The range facility was first rate and, as usual, the staff could not have been nicer or more cooperative.

The experience of the group spanned from beginner to skilled, with ages from 13 to 57. On Saturday morning, after shooting the Red Coat target that for some students had only a few holes in it, we started on the basics. The group worked very hard and I kept hearing very positive comments. Our most inexperienced shooter, who had trouble hitting the Red Coat target shot a score of 132 on his first AQT.

Sunday the group returned and was very determined to improve and make score. Everyone should feel good about their performance and improvement. Remember a Rifleman persists.
Cristian started at 98 and had a high score of 159
Nadine started at 91 and had a high score of 142
Yvonne made it all the way to 204 - so close.
And congratulations to our two new Rifleman, Gretchen worked so hard shooting scores from 158 all the way to 210 and yes, she got a shower, Jay shot scores of 220, 213, 215 and 226. Then there was our youngest, Katie at 13, our high scorer with scores of 210, 223, 229, 230 and 231.

A big thank you to the great crew of instructors we couldn't succeed without the work and dedication from each of you. A special thank you to our Applecore group. Everyone worked very hard and the teamwork was amazing.

Thanks to all.

Thank you Miss Conduct ! and all the instructors . It was a great weekend!

Not Sure

Sep 9th and 10th was indeed another great Appleseed weekend in Homestead.  Wendy did a fantastic job planning and organizing, making it much easier on the rest of the Appleseed crew.  Thanks also go to out instructors, Quartermaster and Kinetic Energy, as well as our volunteers, Fenix and Anyone But Dallas.  It's always a pleasure working with all of you.

Our shooters worked hard and took instruction well, making us look good with their improved scores.  We even had 3 different shooters post cleared redcoats.

A few brief appearances by F16s taking off from the adjacent AFB added a modern touch to the history presented.

Now, I have to find time to get in some practice time as my daughter is posting scores higher than mine.

Anyone But Dallas

Another amazing event. This was my first an Applecore and I loved every minute of it. Great job to all of the instructors and participants. Between the rain and heat it was challenging but everyone was up for the challenge. Cant wait for Ladyseed in Oct

Pirategirl

Great job to all the instructors and students!  It's a great day for Liberty!  I can't wait to get down there and shoot with the South Florida instructors again!  Huzzah!  Huzzah! Huzzah!
