Hello,
I am in the early stages of research needed to attend an Appleseed event.
I live in Dallas, and would likely attend one of the single day events in Ft. Worth.
I found a reference here stating that only rifles .32 cal/8mm and lower are allowed. https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=8162.0
Does this apply to pistol caliber carbines?
I have a 9mm carbine, will I have to bring something else?
A 9mm carbine is fine at 25 meter events as long as the range isn't 22 rimfire only (which Ft. Worth is). So, for Ft. Worth, you would need to use a different rifle. Perhaps a loaner could be provided. Check with the shoot boss for that event.
Thanks, Tennessee Beast, for responding. I missed this inquiry.
Please send me an email at debbie@padraic.com or call 818-991-6982. We will need to contact the range as there cattle on the land behind the berm.

Disregard,, press on.
Here is the policy from Maximum Ordinate on pistol-caliber carbines: 9mm-45 cal

Thank you, CarrollMS. I've reviewed and will direct other Texas Instructors to this thread as well.

Eventually someone is going to bring a 350 Legend to an event.
It would be easy to make the argument that the larger calibers are safer. If I shoot over the berm with a M1 Garand, that bullet will go down range well past 1000 yards. If I shot a Bushmaster 450 over that same berm, it will likely not make it past 500 yards.
