Title: Success takes many forms
Post by: yellowhousejake on March 15, 2013, 09:20:32 AM
It can be hard to be there early Saturday morning at 7am, 6:30am?, 5am?  Certainly after a long week at work knowing that the grass needs cut and the truck needs an oil change. We do it, and I know sometimes we wonder if we are making a difference, are we actually changing anything. Is there a point to this endeavor?

Last night I did a Libertyseed for 49 people, only 24 adults. It was a great audience and afterward speaking with the organizer I found out something interesting. The man became a scout master after hearing the benediction Mudcat gave at his Appleseed. That is so important it bears repeating.

The man became a scout leader after hearing the benediction Mudcat gave at his Appleseed.

The scout master answered the call to get involved and participate, the need for volunteerism, by working with kids. The very future of our country. How far will Mudcat's message spread now that another person is promoting the virtues of the founders to a ever expanding group of young men through his scouting career?

Are we making a difference? I wonder if any of us truly realize just how profound the effects of what we do actually are.

Somebody find me another Libertyseed!
