Title: MGAR Myakka,Fl AAR Aug.15 &16,2015
Post by: Sly223 on August 18, 2015, 11:29:13 AM
Huzzahh!!
Thank you to all who attended this event was very nice and refreshing we were at least 12 degrees cooler than expected all weekend and missed the furious rain storms,
I have always said God loves Appleseed, and with an 80+ chance of rain both days. to only receive 10 minutes of mist one of the two tells me something divine must have taken place,
And it did we had a father Daughter team on Saturday and for a first time 11 year old Girl I can tell you this is a force to be reckoned with thank you for you hard work on Saturday Arielle!
Razor Ray showed back up knocked a little rust off then reminded us all that he is a man who knows very well what he is about!
Steve brought Zack out to learn one of the major difficulties in Marksmanship! It is a perishable skill, back on the bubble and with some dry fire at home they are all one the path!
After calling Chuck "Ray" all day, I finally was able to help,
but only a little as he was advancing nicely and working a bolty like a champ!
John was getting real familiar with his AR and Andrew's scores were starting to climb.
Stoneknives was kicked out of the nest of orange comfort into running his own event as I am sure he had no idea, **) nerves did not get a chance to set in he presented all the strikes on Sat. ~~:) and all the history on Sunday &) did all modeling on Sat. and All instruction on Sunday! O0
I am super proud to announce Florida's newest RH Stoneknives!
Congratulations brother a long time coming and well earned ..:..
Hopefully I will get some pics attatched and other comments from our other instructors and attendees!

He's a slick one that Mr.Hall.
"Oh man I'm feeling so bad Henry" can you do this ___________ (insert demo or instruction) here.
I'm worried about him having to go home and having to cancel the shoot. I'm making sure he's got food, drinks and Resese Cups so we don't cancel.
All weekend this went on till late Sunday he comes over and tells me to turn in my PC that I had knocked out all the requirements for my Red Hat.
Well Archie did tell me once that, "a brain is a tool that I was ill equipped to use". I guess that might be a little true.
Grip it and Rip it, as my coach use to say.
Thank You, Thank You Rick..... :)

I'll get it at the next shoot. Like the man said, everything in God's time.
We had other issues Sunday afternoon. Someone locked us all into Range and we had to go up and take down a section of barbed wire fence to get everyone out. Of course then we had to put it all back up and make it pretty. Then the mosquitoes came upon us with a vengeance. Appleseeding at it's best, Huzzah!

You can experience a lot at an Appleseed event, But a Myakka event will change your life.
I know it has mine.
Anything but ordinary around here! ..:..
I love the challenges of this place they are never ending,
making ordinary events seem mundane! ..:..
