We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots

There is no better way to spend Patriot's Day Weekend than at Project Appleseed's home range at Ramseur, NC! Better yet if you are with an outstanding group of 21 enthusiastic shooters and a dedicated crew of seven of North Carolina's fine instructor cadre plus a bonus border-raider!
The group included five youth from ages 9 through 16, plus many experienced and new shooters all working together to hone their craft, learn the history of April 19, 1775, and have a lot of fun doing it.

The weather was perfect on Saturday with sunshine and warm spring temperatures. On Sunday morning it transitioned right back into winter with a steady rain and temps in the low 40's. The weather didn't matter - spirits remained high, and the scores on hits count targets and AQT's proved that the hard work and concentration throughout Day 1 paid off!

Seven shooters achieved Rifleman's score (three for the first time), and one shooter earned his second distinguished patch with a score of an even 240 (and four cleared hits count targets). Stewart, that perfect 250 is within reach if you'll stop wasting rounds shooting the thumbtacks off your backer! Several other shooters cleared their targets regularly throughout the weekend.

History was taught passionately and well by ToLiveDeliberately (thanks for making the trek from Ohio!), R-Mack, and Monkey. Shooters at Ramseur participated along with other Appleseeders nationwide on Sunday with a Victory Volley. The names of the fallen were read, and we reflected on the sacrifices that those brave first true Americans made in the name of the liberty that we enjoy every day by actively practicing our unique rights. As Benjamin Franklin said, our government is a republic only if we can keep it!

All in all, it was a great time: shooters worked hard and improved, and there were smiles and hugs to go along with the sore knees and wet jackets. We hope to see you all back again soon right here where it all began in Ramseur!
