Join me in welcoming Mercer County Sportsman Association as a new range partner with Appleseed Ohio! The range is near Celina. Their first event will be November 17/18, EIP and eventbite should be available soon.

Welcome MCSA!  I was hoping it would be near Mercer PA,  about the same lattitude but on the far side of the state.

Doesn't anyone on the eastern side of Ohio like to shoot?????  ;)

Need some local border raiding oppertunities.
Last evening, it occurred to me that when a defender of Liberty is called home, their load lands upon the shoulders of the defenders left behind. Just as the Founders did their duty for Liberty, every subsequent generation must continue their work lest Liberty perish. As there is no way for the remaining adults to take on the work of those that die, we must pass the ideals and duties on to the children. -PHenery

A huge thank you to Ratchett and Corvette for a successful, although small event in Celina at the Mercer County Sportsman Club this weekend.  With only nine shooters on the line, it was hard to imagine that we would have FIVE new riflemen by Sunday's end.

While this was our first shoot, it won't be our last, we're hooked for life.  Keep up the good work, we'll be looking forward to our next event  ;)

Facebook updates show the 12th-13th.  Which instructors will be there, (or should I make plans to attend my first Appleseed as an Instructor...btw, I need my official instructor gear as well...shirts, sweatshirts, patches...)

DG, looks like Ratchett will be the SB and an IIT4 from Piqua,  Coyote417, is signed up to help.  If I really have to, I can help this weekend but I was planning on going to Meeker Sportsman club in Marion for my new member orientation and to see if they are planning on hosting any AS's this year. Keep me posted on sign up numbers and other Instructor/IIT sign ups this week.  I'll jump in if needed. 

Also, Ratchett, do you know who coordinated our prior AS's at Meeker?  They have a nice 400 yard range I would hate to loose from our schedule.  I don't want to screw things up but as a new member up there, I might be able to make some more contacts for us and talk AS up a bit.  Have we ever thought about assigned range coordinators in a sticky note at the top of the Ohio list?

Do your thing, Corvette.  95% chance of me being there...and I have worked with Coyote217 before, as well as Ratchett, so I think we'll have this covered.

Now to dig my AS stuff out of the trailer!!!

Yea, I found the new way with the Zanesvillle shoot in December.  Actually, its easier than PMs and better to find out who else has signed up.  Looks like six people signed up so far, and I bet they have been to AS before so I think you guys have it covered.
