SLCFSA hosted it's first Appleseed weekend of the year, 02/01/-02/02, 2020. The weather forecast wasn't great, but 4 hardy students showed up to learn Rifle marksmanship, and hear the actual history surrounding the events of April 19th, 1775.
We had a wonderful student/instructor ratio, every student had their own instructor. We were also able to get one of our instructors on the line to shoot a redcoat and AQT. Wickedworx proved his rifle skills by cleaning the redcoat and firing a rifleman AQT.
There was great instruction, great students, and a real yearning to learn and apply newly learned rifle skills.
The students were very motivated, and I hope to see them all back soon. There were many AQT scores right on the cusp of "RIFLEMAN".
The weather varied between low 40's with fog and drizzle to low 50's with flurries and wind.
My hat is off to the students for persevering, the instructors for giving of their time, and SLCFSA for standing behind the mission of APPLESEED!

Jonathan with a RIFLEMAN qualifying AQT.
No longer a cook, although he is actually an excellent chef! What a combination!
Jonathan with another RIFLEMAN scoring AQT.
Jonathan persevered and made it happen! He was able to put all the learning together and put rounds on target from his rifle!
