15 Shooters arrived at the Albuquerque City Range to learn our history and rifle marksmanship fundamentals.

Saturday started off a little cold and unusually windy for a spring morning in Albuquerque.  This didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the shooters, many of whom were early.  After a great First Strike by Gila and a safety briefing, we started in on the marksmanship instruction.  The groups shrank with instruction and it was time for IMC after lunch and the Second Strike.  In the afternoon, the shooters learned to listen to their targets, sitting and standing positions, and the story of Prudence Wright.  The rain and thunder held off just long enough to get the line clear.

Sunday brought a review of Saturday's material and our first AQT.  Shooters got the rhythm of the AQT quickly.  3 shooters, Dominic, Matt, and Josh, shot rifleman scores on multiple targets, proving they are "men who know very well what they are about".  We took time out for the Patriot's Day volley which was shot at steel - it was amazing to hear 12 rounds ringing the steel after each block of names.  Shooters were divided into teams for a friendly competition.  A tie-breaker round was required.

It was a great weekend with a great group of Patriots.
