Thank you Smurf, Mark, Little Mo and The Mrs. for a fantastic time! You guys were very patient and great at giving feedback.

I really enjoyed this past weekend and I cannot wait to sign up for another! Hopefully I will not have any scope problems! I am planning on fixing that situation very soon. Very excited to try out the things I have learned at the range, and to keep working on them.

Thank you again!!

It was a wonderful Appleseed Event at the Iroquois Rod & Gun Club. This is a beautiful range tucked away in the middle of the Capital Region of New York State. They do a terrific job of hosting many Appleseed Events thru out the year and we thank them greatly.

The weekend started on a sunny Saturday morning with the student's introduction to both the history of April 19th, 1775 and to testing their marksmanship skills on the first REDCOAT targets. Motivated by the teaching skills of Another D.O.M. and LittleMo, the students worked hard thru the instructions of the morning. A wonderful lunch was provided by the hardworking club members. LittleMO who did an excellent job served a hot and spicy Second Strike up!!!

The afternoon sped quickly by as the students worked thru the first AQT's. A welcomed break was called and Another D.O.M. inspired the class with a rousing version of the Third Strike. He then led the charge as the class confronted the final Redcoat targets to end their day.

Sunday morning began with Grumpy1 guiding the class with an excellent KD Presentation that motivated the students to use their increased knowledge. They ran to the line to confront their first Redcoat targets. From there it was a morning spent on squares, drills and AQT's.

LittleMo served up the History of Dangerous Old Men and Women and the students enjoyed it all.

Refreshed and ready, the students headed back for more action. The AQT targets and the KD targets were awaiting their arrival. The class, fired up by LittleMo, hit the mats with new resolve and by the time the smoke cleared there were three Repeat RIFLEMEN: Bryan, Veronica and Rich. And standing tall in the powder smoke were also two New RIFLEMEN.

All of the students did fantastic. And they all learned that nothing is given, you earn everything you get.
Loyd, Will and Linsey, next Appleseed for each of you. You each know what to work now work on. A math book for one( You did do good on IMC) and a new scope for another ( Work on that sitting position)!!!!
Aleksey, you need two more Appleseeds. You have lots of time to enjoy it all.
Steve, you are there now. You just have to stop your friends from readjusting your sights when you are not looking or whatever they are doing to you!!! You are there now. Relax it will come.

Marlies was the first of the new RIFLEMEN to score above the 210 mark on an AQT target and she continued to hammer out Rifleman level scores thru out the day. Marlies is a very hardworking student and this day has been a long time coming. Congratulation RIFLEMAN Marlies, You worked for it. You earned it.

Late in the afternoon, a student from the far left side of the line, picked up his old targets and walked down to the far right side of the line. Bryan, Marlies, Rich, and Steve welcomed this stranger as a dear friend. And then the four students became teachers!!! They listened and advised. And in the end, on the very last AQT of the day, on a strange rifle that Bryan so generously offered, a student became our newest RIFLEMAN. When The Mrs. scored the target we were all excited but we kept it a secret until the last moment. A very shocked student came forward when his name was called out. A first time rifleman score on a unfamiliar rifle , on the last AQT of the weekend!!! Congratulations to RIFLEMAN Jesse!!!!

It was a great Appleseed Weekend!!! Thank You All!!!!
