RBC 2!! Old Fool From The Old School!!

« on: September 16, 2009, 01:53:25 PM »

Appleseed is having two RBCs (Rifleman BootCamps) in the fall of 2010.  One early, one later.  These will be an massive effort to get as many Instructors to as possible.

The first will be in Three Forks Montana at the Samuel Whittamore Memorial Range, most likely in the first or second week of September.

The second will be in Ossage Beach MO., mid October, most likely the third week.

This advance post and notice is so that all can plan and think of vacation time.

Students will be worked with to achieve Rifleman status.  Previous Riflemen will be working out to extended yardage, 900 (at least, Montana) and 500 (at least, MO) after posting a centerfire Rifleman score.

Instructors (I) and Instructors in Training (IIT) will be coached by Senior Instructors (SI) and Master Instructors (MI) to become moe proficent in Teaching, both 25m Appleseed and Known Distance (KD) and Full Distance (FD) and in the Heritage and History of the American Rifleman and the Revolutionary War.

These two shoots are very important, and will shape the program in the North West and the Mid West for years to come, as we sharpen both ends of our sticks.

I expect as many students and Instructors as possible to be there.

More to come later as events draw closer.

Guy

BTW, still not too late to make the Ossage Beach RBC in Oct '09 in MO.  This is the trial run RBC.  We already have 10 students pre-reged and over 15 I/IITs planning on attending

Update on Three Forks Fall 2010 Training week date, I have confirmed the dates beginnig Sept 12 through the 19.  This week will include Constution Day Sept 17.
We hope to see Instructors there from the entire region. Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, North and South Dakota, Colorado, Utah, Califorina.
Plan now to throw your stuff in the car and come up and visit with us.  Shootimus puts up a shower with propane heated water, Campfire, and room for RVs and tents.
We will enjoy aromatic burned powder and targets out to 900 yards.

Aftermath,
Come on out and I will try to save an antelope loin for the campfire.
First I have to get an antelope.
Have two tags in my pocket. And a trip planned back east to Jordan MT.
Somewhere around here there ought to be a box of bullets.

I believe it was just confirmed, minutes ago- not on the schedule yet.

If plausible; I'm in.
(It's too far off to be sure, yet)

Wade,
The shade might be very welcome, or roof, if it happens to be snowing or sumpthin'.
Check with Dinky, she might want to describe Three Forks weather for you. Last I heard she had some ideas for improvement.

What, the possibility of hiding from those marble sized hail stones that occur only after someone complains about the rain?

I'm in.
