Necede,

Send a personal Message to Nickle.  I do know he is a bit busy right now, but he can get you pointed in the right direction.

Welcome, and thanks for stepping up!

Guy

Make sure to include the Shoot Boss in the TO: block when you send that PM. He SHOULD have notified me that you're an IIT.

Also, make sure to tell which Appleseeds you've attended, and what your highest AQT score is.

That will help speed the process up considerably.

Nickle

Necede, it actually looks like Nickle got your stuff set up right, as it says "Instructor In Training" next to your name. You should be able to read the Instructor boards now.
Check your drama at the door.

Hello Everyone,
I am a new IIT, as are 3 other people in my family.  What is the next step.  We are hungry to learn and to help out in anyway we can.

Hello again,
My name is Jake, my family members who qualified are Hannah, Johnson, and Jack, and me.  The instructors were Alex and Ben.  The event occurred in Grand Island.  The following week we went to Broken Bow, but had to leave early because of a family emergency. We want to continue our training. If we get no response, we'll be forced to go to another apple seed.  We intend to bring several friends.

Jake,
You need to contact the shoot boss at your event. You are not listed as an instructor yet, so you can not see the instructor part of the forum. Once you have the IIT status vs. the newbie, you will be able to access that part of the forum and look to see what AS you can sign up for.

Sent you a PM as well.

Orange Hat, here, finally got on the forum through a lot of hair pulling and help from longshot, and Greybeard.  I have attended April 19th and the Oct. bootcamp at Osage Beach.

Became an IIT at the shoot in Pittsburg KS this week,  Old Grunt gave me my hat (I dont know the shoot boss' forum name and dont want to post his real name).  I have been to the DEC 08 shoot in Davilla and the OCT 09 shoot in Eureka KS.

Highest AQT is 203 (yes I know, it is my top priority).

   New IITs.

If you do not see "Instructor In Training" under your screen name within the next week, please post here, on this thread, so that someone with administrative powers can fix the oversight.

Does anyone else find it disturbing that there are people who posted in this thread well over a year ago who are still showing as IIT or IIT1?

People... you volunteered to be an Instructor in TRAINING, and if you're still an IIT0 or IIT1 after over a year, you ain't taking much training, now are you? Guys... the water is getting deep and we need more hands bailing. Grab a bucket and go over to the Instructor Scheduling thread and sign up!
Unhappy it is ... to reflect that a brother's sword has been sheathed in a brother's breast, and that the once happy and peaceful plains of America are either to be drenched with blood or inhabited by slaves. Sad alternative! But can a virtuous man hesitate in his choice?

got my orange hat at IBC tampa fl. on 8/8/2010. i have attended 4 or 5 appleseeds since 2007,  but never thought i'd have enough time to really devote to this program. with our current situation and the shortage of instructors i felt it was my duty to do my part . Appleseed is the most promising cure for what AILS OUR BELOVED COUNTRY.being part of the solution feels good ,really good!!!
George Washington would have been an instructor, so would Stonewall Jackson, and how would you like to have been to Alvin Yorks' RBC?Those are men to emulate.i wish we had them now

I fired a 228 at Columbia, Maine under SeanO back in April and put on my Orange Hat. On August 7 & 8 I attended the IBC under Crak in Massachusetts and this weekend I fired a 224 under Buzzworth at Bennington during a break from duties on the line as LSO.

Wife is a volunteer shoot admin and quite pleased with her pink RWVA hat. We spent our 46th anniversary at the IBC.

My signature box still says "newbie".
