No event occurred at Myakka City, FL. Drove 2.5 hours to range.  No organized appleseed on 18 April.  Just normal weekend at range,  shooting on your own.

PHenry tells me that Myakka had 23 shooters yesterday, with a couple of Rifleman.  The Appleseed is at the back of the range.

Just contacted Gene at the Manatee Gun and Archery Club, and he confirmed that our event at his location went without a hitch, both Saturday and Sunday. 

I can only assume that when you asked about the Appleseed event, the person you asked was not familiar with our program, nor our arrangement with the range.  I'm sure if you would have asked within the clubhouse, you would have been referred to the proper range. 

There are multiple target lines at the Manatee facility, with the most prominent being the public line, at the very front of the property.  The target line that Appleseed has been given to use is the "Area 51" range, *way* back, all the way to the back of the property. 

Too late to attend the event now, so no use crying over spilt milk.  The important thing is that we learn from this, and move on.

To that end, I will endeavor to include detailed instructions on how to find the range on the Event Information Page.  I will also contact the range staff prior to our next event, to ensure that *all* persons working at the facility are aware of the event, and know where we are located.
