News:

We need volunteers in sales, marketing, PR, IT, and general "running of an organization."
Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots
on the firing line!  An hour of time spent at this level can have the impact of ten or a
hundred hours on the firing line.  Want to help? Send a PM to Monkey!

Marksmanship was on full display at the Yankton Sharpshooters Range this weekend!  We had great weather with just the right breeze on a mid-90's day on Sunday.  It helped greatly that we had enough canopies to shade the firing line.  Nevertheless, it was far cooler than last year when temps reached over 100 for this shoot!

I always enjoy traveling to Yankton, SD for this shoot.  We had all South Dakotans on the line except for one border raider from Minnesota.  But he apparently felt right at home, spending the night in his hammock outdoors.

Sheldon was the first to qualify Rifleman with a 225 on Saturday.  John requalified with a score of 212 on Saturday, but then rocked it on Sunday with scores of 232, 237 and 238!  TJ completed our trifecta of rifleman with a score of 215 on Sunday.  Everyone else showed great improvement in the scores over the course of the weekend.  Keep persisting and you will achieve!

Special thanks to Yankton Sharpshooters Range and the excellent fellow volunteers that helped me out: Bob and Stan!  It's exciting to see the growth of Appleseed in the Mount Rushmore State.
