Clearly not my experience, but this little Riflewoman talks about how her journey towards highpower started with a Project Appleseed event.  Her dad, Chris, is a former Appleseed instructor.

It's a great story. Chris is/was dSB navybowhunter, and was really helpful when I was getting into highpower. He had some good (and occasionally controversial) posts on here, mainly in the Skill Sets of Shooting subforum. https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?board=16.0
