We had a very good and safe event at the New Haven Sportsman's Club in Guilford, Ct this past weekend. 8 shooters, including 3 juniors, attended the weekend to learn marksmanship and our colonial American history.  The weather was good to great, the range perfect and the students willingness to learn made things flow well for the IT crew.

Saturday started a little wet but cleared quickly and students took the instruction at the standard drink from a firehose pace. Lunch break included the first strike followed by a return to the line and getting everyone sighted in. The second strike, positions and an AQT rounded out the day.

Sunday went well but a few things started to hinder progress for some shooters. Equipment issues, scopes loose, ammo feeding, etc. It all seems to happen at an Appleseed! Everyone did hang tough and although no Rifleman were to be had steady progress was seen throughout the remainder of the event. Kudos to the shooters who take the time and effort, it makes it all the more worthwhile for the instructors

A big thank you to the NHSC for the use of their range and to Steve, the BOTG and coordinator for the club hosting the event. It all went well and we look forward to another shoot there later this year.

The IT crew of Parallax and Scout74 did their best and it showed. The event ran smoothly and the teamwork was great.

As always, a Rifleman persists.
