On May 12th hogfamily, sons Joseph and Travis, (aka Maniac), traveled to Salcha Alaska, just south of North Pole, and presented a LibertySeed to the Salcha Elementary School.

We had Appleseed Alaska's flag and map display, our firelock and accouterments display,  Rev War book display, and Travis in our Frontier Rifleman costume.

Hogfamily presented the Three Strikes to the fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. They then enjoyed the Rev War display and were thrilled that they could hold a firelock and other period replica items.

The kindergartners through third graders were very enthusiastic about the displays and had a lot of very good questions.

The two groups totaled about 70 kids.

We started out the morning with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Wow, good job!
That's a nice table of goodies. I've never seen a flag stand quite like that... interesting & innovative idea.

The flag stand was put together by fisherdawg. I believe he "borrowed" the design from another Appleseeder.
