Appleseed at the Tehama Shooters Association Range…9 students…1 rifleman, 1 riflewoman….
That's how a weekend should be.
Temps were in the upper 50's, a light breeze, clouds, some sun, a bit of rain showers.
It was great to have members of the Tehama Shooters come out to shoot with us.  Dee, we missed you on Sunday and hope you are feeling much better.
This was a wonderful group of adults and youth, all determined to learn and become better marksmen and women.  As usual, groups opened up a bit as folks started using our wonderful methods, then as those methods began to work, the groups shrank again, some times more than what they were at the beginning.  This of course makes everyone happy!
We got one AQT in on Saturday afternoon, no rifleman scores, but there were some nice numbers there.
Sunday, started with Jamie and the kids chasing off the cows that decided to mosey across to their other pasture land…
Groups continued to be nice and small as we reviewed and refined techniques.
Afternoon AQT's gave returning rifleman Jamie, 2 new scores 211 & 221.  The very last AQT Lori, Jamie's wife, out shot her husband with a very nice 226.  Jamie was heard to call foul and swear she was not going to get to shoot his rifle ever again (stated with a big grin on his face and no Jamie, we didn't believe you).
The youth were very dedicated and worked hard.  Naomi had some wonderful positions and groups looked nice.  Hope you get to come back again and shoot some AQT's with us.  Ryan, Kyle and Daniel all were doing a great job as well.  Keep working on it, keep working on it!
All in all a wonderful weekend with a great group of shooters, hope you all get to come back to another event soon!
Thank you all for staying and helping us clean up.
Thank you to my instructors.

I really enjoyed being part of that event.  Good weather, Great People, shooting, great history lessons, inspiring, fun.

Thanks everyone!  :-)

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed -- where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees*. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.
