A great weekend of shooting at the Home Range at Ramseur! We started the weekend with many new shooters who were eager to become immersed in our heritage of rifle marksmanship. Twenty-one shooters were one the line with an experienced instructor cadre of Polonius, Cousin Hart, Henry Foxall, JZody, and Laertes, and great AC assistance from Mother Batherick. Jeremy came by on Sunday and assisted the line on Sunday. Saturday was perfect autumn North Carolina weather, with warm temps by mid-afternoon. Sunday was forecast to be cold, but warmed up nicely by the time we started shooting.

We qualified one new Rifleman (Kyle with 211) and requalified two more (Laertes, with an amazing score of 248, and Nathaniel scoring 239). Many others came close and with a bit more dry-fire practice will easily turn into Riflemen at their next Appleseed shoot. Thanks to all who attended for a safe shoot, and for their wonderful attitudes and desire to learn.

Never underestimate your opponents. They know more than they say. They think more than they speak. And, they notice more than you realize.
