Maximize your Appleseed energy to make this program grow, and help fill the empty spots

What an incredible end to a perfect year!
The cool crisp air of Gibsonburg Oh greeted a full line of 22 shooters that memorable morning, a good sprinkling of Appleseed alumni from previous shoots with eager young faces to greet the eye. The Ohio team eagerly began to instruct in Rifle marksmanship and our founding history.
Third degree did a stand up job on IMC and Cadence skillfully used the Sunday wind for a training aid during KD. Shooters ranged from experience to novice, but all brought an understanding of the fundamentals and a willing attitude.
Redcoats showed a steady increase in skill, and the willingness the shooters brought to learn.

part of the profits go to Appleseed!

Congratulations to all those to managed to get their patch.
Saturday was an indicator of the good things to come when we had 3 shooters score Rifleman on the very first AQT of the weekend. (Paul, Kevin & ? - sorry, I was on the other side of the line.)

Andrea showed great improvement from never firing a rifle, to scoring a 205 on Sunday. Come back and get your patch.

A special HUZZAH!! goes out to Blaine (age 10) who scored a 210 and followed that up with a 215 on Sunday. This young man is not only a history buff, but can't wait until he turns 13 and take an orange hat. Blaine went to the Ohio State Fair with a 4-H project based on his experience with the Appleseed Program and Revolutionary War History. I hope his mom will post her pictures of the project here on the forum.
This example of posterity is why we all volunteer our time to this program.

A good safe shoot and a great event to close out the season at Gibsonburg.

Another shout out to Steve from ADCO Firearms who brought out a BAR and an MP5 for those who wanted to try them out.

Pictures to follow later.
"A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the
whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous they cannot be subdued; but when once they
lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader."
