Special thanks to the city of Bloomfield and the law enforcement agencies for allowing us to use their range.

With the exception of some light rain Saturday the weather was perfect not too hot or cold. We had a determined bunch of shooters who came with a very teachable attitude. From the first redcoat to the last we watched the improvement. A good mix of shooters about half had been to an Appleseed before.

We were well staffed so a lot of 1 on 1 instruction was available. Instructors were impressed with the questions and self improvement going on with shooters. They made good use of preparation periods we could see the checking of SHF and NPOA. Lots of self target analysis was going on when we got to the AQTs  on Sunday. Persistence paid off for 2 of our shooters earning their Rifleman patch.

We had to hold up a firing line as a horse drawn Amish wagon drove in. There is a road that runs behind the berm that is a "shortcut" for them to avoid the paved highway. Kind of cool when you think of it we were spending the day talking 1775 and some thing that was used then shows up still being used today.

We even had a  shooter doing cartwheels and back flips while heading down to the target line for the instructors entertainment.

It was a good Appleseed!  Thanks Wayne (25/20Marlin) and Deputy Odell for getting this scheduled.  Hope we can do another one next year at this location.  One of the pics below shows the Amish buggy in the background.
