Just wrapped up another great Appleseed weekend in Buckeye, AZ - with 10 motivated shooters (an 11th, who transferred to another weekend, came out to watch for a while), and with some of the best weather we get in West Phoenix, we hit the line and got to work.

Covering proper use of the sling, steady hold factors of the prone position, 6 steps to firing the shot, effective use of and how to adjust Natural Point of Aim, sight-adjustment using Inches-Minutes-Clicks, Rifleman's Nest, and mag changes.

After a short break for lunch and the inspiring story of April 19, 1775, and we were right back at it.  Steady hold factors and use of NPOA in sitting/kneeling position, standing position, transitions, and we were ready for the first AQT of the weekend.  Though a couple were close, no Riflemen today, but the evening Redcoat showed much improvement.

Sunday was Riflemen day - the full line returned, and after a quick review and the story of Morgan's march to the siege of Boston, we dove right back in.  Kathy was the first to earn the patch - hardly a surprise, considering her groups on Saturday - with Matt earning his patch soon after.

I was most impressed with our young shooter Eric - 8 years old - shooting a 10/22 in a reduced size stock.  The stamina and determination he showed for the full two long days is rare in a kid his size - he's sure to grow into an impressive man.

BUCKEYE SHOOTERS!  This is the place to post comments, suggestions, questions, discussion, and pictures of the October 1-2, 2016 event!   ..:..

(Maybe not pictures just yet - for some reason after several tries I'm not able to post pictures right now.)
Talk is cheap because the supply exceeds the demand.

Do or do not - there is no "try."'  -Yoda
