A total of 5 Ladies came out to learn more about Marksmanship and American History on a very hot and humid Saturday in Bowie, MD.  Sunday about 10* cooler with a consistent breeze.

Saturday, we started slowly working with the ladies to insure that everyone had a solid prone position and good groups for a Zero.  We put a special emphasis on the 6 steps to firing a shot and Natural Point of Aim.  All the students were relatively new shooters.  Saturday we squeezed in 1 AQT with Madelyn coming in around the mid 180's. Sunday, we are thinking Madelyn will turn the corner and achieve a Rifleman score and Amy was not to far behind.   All of the ladies showed great improvement throughout the day.  They all have nailed the seated and standing positions but the prone position will require extra attention.  At the end of the day everyone was exhausted from the heat/humidity and the Red Coat targets proved it.

Sunday, with an extra emphasis on the Prone Position we saw improvement however, we also started to see equipment failures.  Madelyn and Amy both improved tremendously and are knocking at the Rifleman door.  Michon, (one persistent lady) who also improved throughout the weekend took a metal fragment to the arm and had to break for a period of time.  She returned to the line highly motivated and in great spirits completing two AQTs and the Red Coat.  She too will be a Rifleman soon.   Outstanding job all day by everyone and we do expect you back on the line in short order.

FlintLocke delivered the Strikes and Eroyle provided history on several Flags from the period.  The students were attentive to the stories and instruction throughout the day.  Excellent group of Ladies!

Maryland Instructor Team, you guys did an outstanding job all weekend working with the students!  Thank you FlintLocke, ChestyPuller, PB4Y1 and MikeCee for your support and instruction.  Everyone had an enjoyable experience and most importantly a safe weekend.  Thank you Berwyn Rod and Gun Club we really appreciate your support.
