14 folks showed upon a beautiful day to drink from the fire hose, and did they ever...

Of the 14, 11 of them were new Appleseeders.

Half were also Groupons. 5 no shows were Groupons.

We started the day with the usual equipment issues, but got those sorted out fairly quickly.

Early redcoats showed we had much to teach. A few started out fairly well on target.

By the end of the day, we had a few knocking on the door, Stas had a 191, Kevin had a 185, Patrick had a 163, Derrick had a 152, and Paul had a 166 and cleared the redcoat.

I will update this post for Sundays activities when I get my note sheet from my Surrogate Shoot Bosses who covered the shoot on Sunday. Thanks to Instructors Chris, Ronnie, and Boris. Instructor Dan also showed up to knock out an AQT or two himself. As I left I saw Dan instructing sling usage... Die hard!

Alright, I got the report from Sunday now...    :P

Looks like we had a few working their way up the ladder to  Expert rifleman, Patrick and Stas both had a  high score on Sunday of 179,John a 162, and Derrick ALMOST made Rifleman with a 208! and cleared the PM redcoat target... :---

Please others post up your comments ...

96 SHOOTS SO FAR!

WSMR Instructor 03/10  -  SAPPER STEEL!

The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection   Thomas Paine

Proverbs 22:3  -  A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even when checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy, nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory or defeat".

Hi Camjr,

Thanks to you and the rest of the Sunland Appleseed team. Had a wonderful time as new appleseeder and am looking forward to my next outing. I was the one with the extra large carpet pad :)

Getting my sharpshooter with Boris was pretty sweet!
