Another hotter than usual for Ct Appleseed held this weekend at the Bozrah Rod and Gun club in Lebanon. Although not as high on the thermometer as in places elsewhere the heat and humidity took a toll on several people by the end of Saturday.

The instruction on Saturday was provided at the drink from a firehose pace throughout the day and we took a few more breaks to get hydrated and out of the sun. We were able to get an AQT by the end of the day as a few equipment issues and extra time for getting sighted in took up some of the afternoon.

Our Saturday am redcoat count were two 100 yard, one 200 and one 300 yard effective shooters. By days end it turned to three 100, one 200, one 300, and two 400 yard effective shooters with 4 shingles perforated for their efforts! Huzzah!

Sunday started a bit cooler with fewer attendees on the line. AQT's plus some drills kept the pace going but not too intense.

We also had an infiltration. Two junior shooters arrived with their fathers for some trigger time, we were able to encourage the boys to attend. BCodes spent some time thru the afternoon with Jeffry and Kyle and some improvement was noted for their efforts.

All told a very worthwhile event, although no Rifleman, but close.

Bill pushed it hard with scores of 207, 204, 203. Russell with a high of 195, Ron with a 184. Others had shown improvement in grouping and various stages of the AQT.

We want to thank the shooters much, the heat and humidity made it difficult for many and probably the reason for some not returning Sunday.

A big thanks to the IT crew of Brian and Greg, couldn't have done it without you.

And a big thanks to the club, Bozrah R&G, for the use of their range and facilities. It's been quite a few years that Appleseed has been hosted there and we look forward to events there in the near future.

A Rifleman persists.

Thanks to all who attended this weekend! In spite of the heat, the shooters maintained a high level of safety and demonstrated significant improvement.
